Default Removal of resonator/snorkel

Does anyone know if this airbox gives the gains it claims?
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/q392397159
Basically it removes the resonator/snorkel as far as I can see.
I guess a remap will be needed after fitting it?
Thanks!

Probably cheaper to modify the existing airbox and get a similar result.
Just a cold air feed from the inner wing area.
As you are not altering the flow round the MAF probably no remap needed.

Ah that looks interesting. Been meaning too sort my intake pipe out and remove the resonator out of the front wing.

Most of these things are there to reduce noise, the car sounds loads better without one, I doubt it would increase power though. As induction kits don't really do anything unless on big power.

Also someone mentioned on the forum about the resonator being there also too stop water being sucked up into the engine as the intake is low down in the bumper. But I don't think that's true.

Nah you wouldn't need a map.
