Default Gtx3071r stock mounted

Hi all,

I have a gtx3071r to fit which is stock mounted, current setup I have a reverse inlet manifold with the intake going under the manifold as per v3 onwards.

the question is will a 3inch 76mm inlet also fit under the manifold so I don’t have to go down the rotated setup route

Currently have a Harvey Smith ported td05 20g

My inlet isn't rotated but I can tell you a 3" silicone inlet does fit under a standard position manifold but is slightly squashed by the inlet manifold to block bolts and can be fitted without removal of the manifold with a bit of washing up liquid for assistance. If you still have your tgvs you won't be able to clamp the inlet to the turbo.

You will also likely find that you won't be able to fit your standard up pipe brackets with a larger turbo in standard position and may need to grind away some of the engine casing to stop it hitting. I didn't, but my turbo isn't that big haha

Spec C apparently (came on the car) but can't guarantee that it really is, looks like one but don't know a sure way to tell, I would assume there's a code or part number somewhere but I'm not ripping it off to find it haha, with composite tgv deletes and a 3" silicone inlet, mines an 03 btw

late classic MY97> and new-age manifolds are totally different clearance wise to the early cars that were never designed to run anything under the manifold so unlikely to assist the OP

@MrRtm the new-age Spec-C cars are a single piece manifold (as are all JDM STi's) so if yours has TGV deletes then its likely a UK spec set-up

Maybe, all I know is its slightly different to the one on my last blobeye and says jdm / spec c on the receipt in the paperwork I have so just assumed, can't say I bothered to research the differences tbh
