Hi car uk 2000 turbo
fuel lines been messed around before I owned the car.

The top one looks right as standard set up but not ideal. My 95 WRX had the fuel sent from cylinder 4 to 2 to 1 to 3 to fpr. This is why cylinder 3 is prone to running lean. Your diagram shows it could have possibly been set up as parallel fuel lines. I would use the capped off line as the feed from filter and the current feed line should be 'T' into return line going into fpr. When the feed line Ts off into two to feed the rails these should both be of equal length so both rails receive the same fuel pressure under load

Thanks yeah think they were trying to do that
as it would give equal fuel I do like you suggested cheers
