Default 2.5 to 2ltr

Ive recently gone from having a 2.5 hawkeye wrx with ppp to now having a 2.0 bugeye wrx, it also has ppp fitted but it feels slow and laggy compared. What is the way to go about getting the low down torque similar to the 2.5?
Cheers 🤘🏻

I don't really think there's much you can do tbh.

A Harvey Smith up-pipe and remap might help spool the turbo a bit earlier, so that you get more torque lower down.

The only other option I can think of is fitting a smaller turbo - obviously this would hurt top end performance, though

There could also be some mechanical issue, of course... And iirc the bug eye PPP was only 245 or thereabouts to begin with.

Maybe stick it on a rolling road and see what's what?

put a 2.5 in it.

2.0 will never have the low down grunt a 2.5 does no mater what you do.

The bug only claimed to have 245hp but was more like 235, the bug had a piggy back chip and wasn’t really the best way, later bugs into blobs got the full ecu so did give the correct 265hp like your hawk would of had so your already 30hp down and with the extra cc from the 2.5 that helps , worth getting a full health check on the bug.

Cheers for the replies, ive got a local place who have a 4wd rolling road who could do a power run to see where its at. I just miss the drivability of the 2.5, if on normal roads or even motorways it was just a case of accelerating where as in the bug i haveto drop it one or two gears first.
Ive also noticed that the gearing is different, far longer gears now. The shorter gearing in the hawk would have contributed quite a bit aswell. How much i dont know? Has anyone used the 2007 box on an earlier newage?
