Default cambelt cover damage

The aircon tension pulley seized while I was driving on the Motorway. Before I realised, the aircon drive belt had worn a 1cm hole in the centre cambelt cover. Anyone else had this? Can I just fit a new pulley and belt or must the cambelt cover be replaced too? Is this a difficult job?

I had this but not as severe, the air con belt had slipped over a groove as the tensioner wheel was loose, so it protruded into the cam casing, rubed a half circle deep gauge into it.

Depending on where the hole is id try and fill it, either put some resin over it or alike just to stop anything getting in

Ok thanks. I might to silicon glue a patch over it. The hole is hidden behind the intercooler and rad but I don't want to risk anything getting in there.
