Default abs fault

hi all happy new year I have a fault on my v3 classic Subaru my abs lights don't go out have checked all the wheel sensors for resistance and all read 1109 or thereabouts apart from the abs module is there a computer box on this model or is it all controlled from the module its a 1996 my I did manage to get the lamp out at some stage but what I got when braking was the abs pump running and feathering the brake pedal that's whats pushing me to think it may be electrical thanks
