STi V2 ABS or No ABS?
#1
That is the question.
Mine has not got ABS, however, chassis number says it should (according to PE, nuff said)
Anybody else with an STi V2 like to confirm if this is tru or not?

Showtime,
I also have the rally flap ,I think I'm probably the blue STi you mention on the Fleet thread though I don't think I've spotted another car with a flap outside a scoob event

STI's were not made with ABS. And I'm 99.99% sure that even a new one is also minus. This is because (as mentioned) the IC spray goes where the ABS would.
I find it alarming that P.E. could get that wrong!!!! Thought they were the guy's that were in the know.
Anyway, ABS is for Girls.......just kidding before I get haranged.

Chris
I won't 'have a go at you' about ABS.. all I will say is that I did a track day yesterday where I was taught how to use ABS properly and it was truely amazing. For most driving conditions in the UK I reckon ABS is well worth having. For track work, it may be another story...
I know this topic divides people, but when you see it in action it is very convincing. The problem with ABS is, all most people know is that it allows you to 'steer and brake' and the only time you get to use it is when the sh*t is about to hit the fan.
The other problem with ABS is that for many people it gives them that 'invincible' feeling that they will be able to get out of trouble - which is sadly not the case.
Anyway that's my feeling (flame suit is now on..)

PS Chris, whereabouts in Surrey are you?

Guys,
Can anyone tell me if ABS was optional on early WRX's? My `94 WRX doesn't have it. There is no IC spray as its not STi, so should it have ABS in its place or not?
Thanx,
Kevin
