Default exhaust issue

Hi I have a 2003 forester 2.0 XT at 145k miles the exhaust has given up. The approved Subaru parts for midle pipe and back box comes to about £800 with the vat. my local garage says with a bit of modification the standard 2.0 forester silencer will fit ok. the saving would be about 50% However I have no idea whether this would compromise either the running of the engine or performance - especially the turbo use. Any knowledge out there, thanks.

Agree. Contact powerflow they have places all over the country and they custom build the system to your spec.

They charge about £130 for back box, think £170 for cat bank. They can make it as quiet or as loud as you want.
