When im altering the classic via ESL i sometimes check the Error codes, usually all clean but sometimes, say twice a year i see error 31 throttle position sensor , if i clear the code it doesnt return .

All voltage seems ok within the ESL software and car drives ok but im seeing the error code a couple of times now so asking if i should be checking anything else or any way to test properly the TPS ?

what readings are you getting for open/closed throttle on the TPS - might be your just on the edge of throwing a code on daily use but in some weather conditions it's causing something to heat/cool expand/contract and tipping you over the edge? Or on sharp throttle release/pressure maybe its flinging closed/open further than usual to give the out of range signal?
