Default Best 500+bhp turbo stock position on 2.5

Looking for some help currently having my 2.5 built full closed deck,
Forged pistons and rods, avcs heads 14mm head studs being build by wms Motorsport, the car is currently fitted with a md321t turbo which I'll be looking to get rid of in change of a bigger turbo, looking to keep a stock position rather than a rotated set up. I have seen lots of options the red turbo , md321v , Owen developments gt30 but looking for advise of what my best option is before I sell mine to get a different turbo so any advise would be great thanks people

to be honest with you I'm not really sure what rear housing it has as it was brought second hand but I'm really impressed with it and would be happy to buy one of there turbos again

I was only expecting around 450 from the red turbo as there wasn't much info on it ,,so I was very pleased with over 500 and it still had a bit more if I wanted it but I'm happy the way it is

Thoughts on the forced performance blue? Good option for 450 max with top mount ic

$850 seems a good price, what would the import charges be?

Precision 5530 bolt on would be my recommendation, might not clear 500hp as that's very overall spec dependant, but it knocks the socks off every other bolt on we've tried over the years for all round driveability.

i like to see comparisons.

very rare people swap turbos so get a back to back, only way to even slightly compare is a dyno graph.

I agree m8, I love a good back to back, unfortunately we haven't got a test pony an hours to faff about fitting turbos one after another.
We do however build lots of these cars all the time with very similar specced motors and have ran all sorts of turbos, SC36, 38, 40, 42, 42+, 46, 46+ and the 50 along with the 30 and 35s.
I'm a big fan of the SC range always have been, however IMHO the Precision is the one I'd choose for 450-550hp.

Would you choose a sc42 on a 2.1 with headwork inc cams and push it for 450+ which I think is achievable for a good point to point car, or would you opt for a P.T?
Not after big numbers but I really loved the drivability of the sc42 and was thinking of getting a PT.

Both of those turbos would work really well in that config, so it comes down to a choice of spool vs outright power. The 42 is likely to spool faster being a smaller unit, but the Precision won't be far behind it and will outperform it up top by some margin.

Yeah not too bothered about outright power, was wanting the better spool, but thanks for your opinion.
I suppose if I wanted near the 500 mark then the PT would be the only choice.
