Default Another tip for coolant filling

I know there are loads of posts about filling coolant on scoobs, but thought I would share a method I used recently for "fill slowly and do not allow it to glug".

I used a glass bottle with a constant flow spirit pouring nozel fitted and filled from the edge of a funnel that was tipped over to one side slighty. It worked a treat, but sadly my overheating problems are bigger then just a coolant change....

And yes, it was a washed out wine bottle..

Thanks for the tip. What pipe is it that I am filling the coolant via? I know it is one attached to the header tank. Is it the pipe facing the windscreen which goes directly to turbo area?

Thsnks

Hi, no worries.

Yes it's the one at the back of header tank that goes to the turbo. I've used this method a few times now and it's worked perfectly every time.

So I just fill that pipe until header tank is full and the reattach? I presume the header tank does fill up via that pipe?
As I start car to bleed system, I leave header tank cap off?

Do I only tiop up any required coolant from the overflow tank as car is running and not the header tank?

sorry for all questions- maybe you could run me through your process of easing coolant?

Thanks! I think I know what I am doing but just want to be clear !
