Om my V4 there was a rubber blanking piece on the end of a spigot on the front right of the manifold top, seen as you looked under the bonnet from the car' front. Remove that, slot vac pipe over the spigot.

Is that the boost gauge sensor mounted on the bulkhead on the drivers side and the pipework wrapped around the strut brace ?

Ermmm its vac pipe to sensor then sensor wired up to gauge but the actual gauge is something lik

e this slightly older type maybe but everything same otherwise the gauge is actually stays on 50 for some reason connected or not connected and tried driving it connected to left side or right side of manifold and no movement in the gauge at all

Probably gauge is duff and maybe the sensor as well so if i were you i would buy a mechanical gauge that does not need a sensor .

The prosport boost senders can be bought separately when they fail. About £20 for the last one I got

Mechanical and very accurate.
I do my own mapping and the gauge is bang on to what the ECU reads.
