Default Re-use connecting rods?

So I got around to splitting the block due to a forged bottom end piston failure.
I already knew that one of the cosworth pistons had shattered! Having inspected the other 3 pistons I have found fracture lines on all of the other ones

I'm currently running a standard bottom end(donor block Thanks to @johnlogie still running sweet!) but am wanting to build another forged block.

Question is: Would it be ok to re-use my steel(GG/cosworth) conrods, and is there any way to check if they're in usable condition? ie:checking for ovaling or cracks? Visually they look ok.
Cheers
Rich

for the sake of a few hundred quid- its hardly worth messing around with them, unless your running a standardish set up .

This.

The rods are part of the cause of the piston failure due to gudgeon pin flex etc...

Thanks for the advice,it's going to be a budget build tbh and the rods are an expensive part of a build,if I can reuse the rods then I would be stupid to bin them.
I have read a good few threads and info that says the cosworth pistons are poorly made(Some been made in China not sure if this is true?),with this info and the clear signs of detonation on the piston face, and where the fracture lines are then I've no reason to think it was Pin flex that caused the failure?
I guess a proper inspection would show how good the rods are?

Great link banny
Looks like as long as they've been properly inspected and are within tolerance then they are good to go back in to a build

Glad to hear it's still running good mate. Can't believe some folk had their doubts about using a block that had suffered HG failure

If they measure up ok, replace the ARP rod bolts and you are good to go again.

the 2.0 Cosworth piston shave known issues although strangely their 2.5 variants are far superior due to a much better design..............

we normally use a mandrel to check rods for true, size, etc...........

Thanks I will give them a thorough check before I think about using them.
Is it possible to reuse the arp bolts if I check them for stretch or is it a big NO?

I will start another thread regarding the crank and get a picture up,but is there a way to identify which crank I have?
