I have a 06 Hawkeye STi that needs an engine rebuild. I have been offered a 2007 USDM EJ257 block that has been forged then had V4 heads fitted.

My plan would be to split the forged engine then refit my heads from my current engine.

Can anyone advise if that will work?

USDM block should be pretty similar to what you have - depends on what pistons the USDM block has to what thickness head gaskets you need.

 

It has CP pistons fitted according to the spec list. Tanks for the feedback.
