Default V4 or v5 (best parts to use)

I have a my 99 v5 turbo 2000 and a my 96 v4 wrx sti ra 2 door and want to find out what are the best bits to use to make one good one.

My 99 v5 was running 425 bhp with some good mods
My 96 v4 is factory still so 280 bhp.

I want to use the v4 shell as it's 2 door but don't know what engineto use in it

My problem...... I love the v5 I spend loads of money on it
2.0l with cdb
Forged pistons
H beam rods
Race bearing
Tdo6 20g
Front mount
Lightend flywheel
Race clutch
Big exhust headers
3" decat with 3" stright pipe
Lamda delete
Maf delete
3 bar map sencer
Simteck ecu
And a loads more but I think you get the idea haha

Only proplem it started to knock 😏
So I saved up some money to rebuild the engine but the v4 came up for the same money so I had to get it 😎 lol.

The v4 sti ra is standard and running but I know it won't last long.

So do I rebuild the v5 and put it into the v4 because I know it's got the mods for 400* bhp and have the ecu for it. But if I do that I think I need to swap the ecu overy and if I do that will I have to change the dash and clocks.

There is too much for me to think about and confusing myself.
Are the sti heads better then turbo 2000 and depending on what heads I use depends on the pistionsite I need and what loom I need 😪
Can you remap the v4 ecu where my v5 sim can be remapped I know

Sorry for the head ache I hope you under my mess of a message haha

Yes the v4 ecu can be remapped using the ESL daughterboard, issue solved headache over lol

Use the sti heads on the 2.1 engine and get a decent mapper this time and it will have to no reason to knock...

Haha thanks 😎

But It's seems I will have to spend loads on the v4 to get it to the same power as the v5 though? 😅
If I build the cdb and put it into the v4 with sti heads and v4 loom it won't have the
Simteck ecu
Lamda delete
And 3 port and 3 bar map sencer on which I had done on my v5
Or will the v5 sencer just plug into the v4?
Or could I plug the v5 engine loom and ecu into the v4 harness if you know what I mean lol😂
Thanks for your patience 😅
