Quiet 3" exhaust for a newage sti
What are people running 3" exhaust wise? I've got a cobra 3" track day friendly with a 3" decat and where the centre meets the downpipe it reduces down so it isn't 3" id all through and it isn't as free flowing as some exhausts. I've heard that the revolution exhaust is good but unsure where sells them. What others do people recommend? Currently at 421bhp and its restrictive for my next step.
Thanks

Out of interest how quiet is the trackday friendly system in day to day use?
i've heard sound clips and seen the cobra videos on youtube but it doesn't seem that quiet still!

Cheers, i'l certainly consider it as I don't plan on going above 320bhp so restriction won't be an issue.
As far as I know the revolution system is a Jetex system so you may have better luck sourcing it through a Jetex supplier.

Ive recently had the Jetex 3' fitted to my hawk, it's not as loud as the old Hayward and Scott I had on, that was a 2.5' exhaust.....
I'm chuffed with the tone of it and there's no din on motorways either.....

i,ve had revolution and tsl both considered quiet exhausts- both sound reasonably quiet below 3000 rpm(70 mph) and then get a lot noisier higher up- both exhausts with centre box fitted too. seem to get noisier as they get older as well.
the jetex/revolution exhaust is slipjoint pipework that can blow from the joints occasionally- i used engine silicone to seal a troublesome rear pipe joint on mine -worked a treat lol
