Default mocal oil sandwich plate fitment

Hi all
I have a 2000 turbo 2000 v6.
I have fitted equal length headers and have a mocal thermostatic oil cooler sandwich plate to fit.. but there's no way I'm fitting it on as the headers are in the way.. has anyone else had this problem?
Would it be worth while to get a sandwich plate to lower the mocal one? Or would it put my oil filter dangerously low to the floor..?
Any help Regards to fitting it would be great!

The bolt extension and the spacer will get you 25mm, is that enough?

Cheers for the reply! I'll measure up the difference tomorrow after work and see if it'll be enough! Any more input from others is still appreciated!

Old thread, but did you ever get this sorted out?

I'm having issues fitting a mocal thermostatic plate as well. Thinking of getting this: https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p...-spacer-m-spa1

Alternatively, might get a cheap and cheerful gauge take off plate to have in between.

Henrik, that will do the job, all you need is the m20 adaptor to go with it & a Subaru OE non modine m20 oil filter adaptor, if your stuck let me know.

Oh of course, it's because i don't have a modine anymore!

I think I have something suitable in some drawer somewhere in the garage, but will let you know if I get stuck.
