Me and a friend were chatting about me mapping my car and it got along the lines of me limiting the boost to 1.4 for a short time then lowering to 1.35 as the car goes faster etc.

His question was why not leave it at 1.4 all the way till i slow down etc.

i said, well, having 100k on the clock, standard internals i didnt want to strain the engine, but his reply was, if your map is spot on, fuelling good, timing good, the boost shouldnt cause any damage even if it doesn have 100k on it.
