Default Cel reading

Hi all

My friend's gc8 from 97 has been throwing cels for some time. I've read tons of posts about how to read them on my own car, but this one is different.

It has two green connectors and two white ones - not black. When I connect them all, I just get constant lights; how do I check historical codes on a car with white connectors?

Black ones will be there somewhere, sometimes hard to find, taped up by the steering column seems to be where most are hidden.

Just to add,to read codes it's black only,to do the ECU reset it's both green and black.

Finally managed to read the codes. Turns out the black connectors are white on that car - so in some cases, the black connectors are white connectors. Thanks Subaru.

Just to piggyback this thread rather than make a new one. Once you've changed the icv do you have to reset the ecu? As I'm just about to change mine. On a 94 sti import. And what's the sequence to remove the code? Many thanks for the help.

Always best to reset after changing sensors etc as the ECU may have learnt some bad habits with the old icv,it will re-learn without a reset tho,but I would reset.
