Default Boss kit

Just purchased a boss kit.... But have now been told I need to get rid of clock Spring will this be ok cheers james

Depends on what boss kit you purchased really. Some have provision for the clock spring.

What do u mean mate it was a cheap boss kit been told it will fit as long as I remove clock Spring it's a 2001 wrx mate cheers

I have one of these http://www.driftworks.com/hkb-steeri...hi-subaru.html

This has a plastic part inside the boss that fits over the lugs on the clock spring.

are right ok mate if mine is needed to fit with out the clock Spring will that be ok ??

You fit it at your own risk, probably need to mod wires to fit, manually wire horn and need to turn airbag off.
I bet it fits like **** tbh if it's cheap.
Hkb is the proper boss.

Don't know until you try fit it. You won't have auto cancel indicators if you do.
Is it a crap momo or sparco one?
Test fit it and see, or if it were me I'd throw it in bin and buy a proper one. Buy correct one first time instead of buying twice.

No mate iv baught sparco wheel sparco quick release and cheep boss which I shouldn't of really lol

Get the HKB boss, comes with everything you need including airbag resistors.

Ive just fitted an NRG slim line boss, yes the clock Spring has to go, but helps not having the wheel suck out so far

Cheers mate brilliant that what I wanted to no to be aide u have removed clock Spring do u get a gap or anything were it was mate cheers james

I only had a small ish gap around the cowling to the boss, I just put some black foam inside the cowling, but I am fussy

Also you need a 3.3ohm resistor from maplins 29p to fit in the airbag plug, disconnect battery first fit resistor, mine worked a treat ��
