Unhappy Exhaust note

Hey all,
back after a few years out of scoob ownership, now got a 06 blob wrx.
Just having a few issues with the desired exhaust note, so envious of others I hear running about lol
Car is running a full decat but is actually fairly quiet, on tickover the rumble can be heard but not so much as others and while driving it just sounds like any other car,
I've already changed back box to see if that made a difference, now got scoobysport ninja 2 fitted which made it deeper but still not the proper sound
Couple of month back the exhaust manifold was replaced as the old 1 had cracked so I know that's an unequal length, Toyosport manifold and up pipe. Unsure what the downpipe and centre are though.
Any ideas what could be my problem could be?
Cheers

We had another topic like this a few months back. One thing to try, while driving open up your rear passenger side window all the way down, then see if it still sounds the same.

Remember new exhaust parts always need to bed in, i bought a jap system system for my first impreza, i was so quiet, a few months later and it was so loud i had complaints.

Yeah, you don't really know what it sounds like to everyone else. Try getting someone to drive it past you.
Kinda funny , everyone gets to enjoy the sounds except the guy in the driver seat.

I was always quite disappointed when i changed to a powerflow system, until mot guy took it down the road sounded a beast lol

Now if i want to hear my car i just wind down rear passenger side window.
