Default Turbo 2000 problems

Had a bit of issue when coming into boost been lumpy fitted a boost guage was boosting to 11psi then creeping down to 9 psi fairly quickly.

Checked all pipes cleaned boost control solenoid then tightened the intake jubilee too turbo dropped boost to 8psi so checked and pipe had split so I went out and brought a silicone replacement removed manifold fitted pipe replaced inlet manifold gaskets drove it and still felt bad.

Had to use the pipe from boost guage to replace a few vac hoses so can't monitor boost level atm but running alot smoother so today I unplugged actuator pipe drove it felt alot better on boost so decided to remove actuator and tighten by approx 6 turns.

It now feels alot better but need to check boost pressure but is there anything I could be missing or could it just be that there was a vac leak the actuator was bleeding off air and that's why it was boosting higher before and the spring has gone weak in the actuator which is now reflecting the lower boost
