Maf failure??
Hi,
Today my car(classic impreza my99) went suddenly boost cut about .5 bar. idle was rough and check engine lights on.i read error codes, code is 23
i checked the boost leaks but no boost leaks.i disconnected maf cable but nothing changed.
is this directly maf failure? Car running rich and i didn't erase the code(delphi obd device) if i change the maf will ecu erase error code itself?
Car is stock, stock airbox only cat back prodrive

Yes it is MAF failure
Year 99 was a weak year for them.
There are three different types of MAF for that year you can get ...from memory. And the last revised one is not too bad
Fault codes here
11 Crankshaft position sensor
12 Starter switch
13 Camshaft position sensor
21 Engine coolant temperature sensor
22 Knock sensor
23 Mass air flow sensor
24 Idle air control solenoid
31 Throttle position sensor
32 Oxygen sensor
33 Vehicle speed sensor 2
35 Purge control solenoid valve
42 Idle switch
44 Wastegate control solenoid valve
45 Pressure sensor / Pressure exchange solenoid valve
51 Neutral position switch
Cheers
