Recently bought a MY99 UK Turbo with 55k and FSSH. Does this mean the cambelt will definitely have been changed ? Any quick and easy way of checking (other than tryin to get hold of the previous owner).

Need I worry ?

Cheers,
Craig.

Er, if it's got FSSH you should have a stamp in the book next to the '45k service bit' and (if you're lucky) a receipt. That means the cambelt change has been done.

Cool. Yeah, stamp is in the book but no receipts.

Cheers,
Craig.

Im the other way round , ive bought a 98 turbo with 35k miles and the service book is stamped for milage not months so its had its 30,000 mile service but realy should have had its 36 months + cambelt service.
Can the Subaru garage who serviced the car tell me what its had done on the services, I know Renalt can bring up an itemised account of each service but can Subaru ?
Also If its not been done do you think I can get this done under warranty as I was told its got a "full service history" ??
which if you go by milage is right but not by months

Attu...if it has a FSH then the cambelt should be changed at the "millage" date or the "time" date which ever is first. If not then it aint been serviced correctly......

My dealer knows what has been done to the car and when (by them obviously) by putting the reg number into their computer.
Hope that helps
