Default HELP SWAPPING 94 WRX LOOM INTO 1999 IMPREZA UK TURBO

I crashed my 94 WRX wagon so I bought a 1999 UK 2000 turbo with knocking engine to use as a new shell, so I pulled both the engines out and both the dashboards. My question is do I have to remove full interior and take out the whole loom and swap or can you just change the loom at the dash end and some how cut the wires that go to the rest of the car and join them? Any help would be much appreciated

I would take the heads off the 99 and fit them to the good 94 bottom end, it would take a few hours to do, a pair of headgaskets, new cam belt and away to go.

I was thinking of doing that originally but I bought a simtek ecu not long ago brand new and wanted to keep it and swapping the dashboards and loom is the only way to keep the ecu but I was assuming there would be a plug from the dash loom to the rest of the car but there isn't so not sure what to do

Ok I understand now, there are other complications though, the speedo drives are differnt for one. (cable/electronic), if the ecu is brand new from Steve, would He PX it for the right one?

I have already swapped the cable over, I got the ecu through mark at tdr, I don't mind changing everything over as I am nearly there just need info on the wiring obviously I can just swap the complete interior loop but was just wondering of there was a way around that
