Default Shadow Gauge - Oil Temp Sensor

Afternoon All,

I have had my car (04 STI) a few weeks now and it seems like I am having sensor issues with my Oil Temperature for my Shadow Gauges.

On start-up it is reading about 120C which isn't right of course. So I checked the connections and no issue there so looks like the sensor is guffed.

Was looking to replace but don't know what type to go for as I'm not familiar with the setup. Can anyone offer any advice? Was looking at Rspec sensors (see below) but they have a ground connection and I am pretty sure I don't have that connection on the Shadow Gauge set up.

Please any help would be excellent!

I take it you've checked the connection at the rear of the gauge? They sometimes need a firm push home.

I actually haven't for fear of damaging the pod. Just a flat head under it?

Its the triple gauge pod on top of the dashboard centre console. I saw a few photos online with clips at the front. I imagine I would push back towards the window and lift?
