Default terracleaning

hello chaps and gals, anyone tried the terracleaning ? worth it? or another ploy to extract cash.... with petrol been unleaded would carbon still build up? I bet to a much lesser degree than cars of yester year. mine is a classic 99 uk with coming up to 100k... regular oil service every 6 months, v power only.

Hello, I had the engine on my ST220 given the carbon clean treatment, which I think is similar, and the big end bearing failed. It had done less than 60,000 miles, six monthly oil changes and only had very minor mods (cat back exhaust, panel filter and remap). The bearing may have failed anyway, but it is a suspicious co-incidence.

I had a terraclean about a month ago, as we tend to do alot of short journeys. The car was definitely more responsive afterwards, and ran really well on a 450 mile road trip, but mpg didnt change much. No bottom end failures though !

thanks chaps for response that's a bit worrying .... sounds like all that coke build up can offer some sort of seal and lubrication . will look into it further I think.
