Default No compression on 3 cylinders

After finally getting my car running again (crankshaft sensor). My car had been running okay until it finally decided to not start again.
Assuming it would be another sensor issue , booked it into the garage where they have diagnosed that there is no compression on 3 cylinders.

Obviously I guess I wont get to the bottom of it without removing the head, but does anyone have any ideas what may have gone wrong? There were no catastrophic noises or any other indications that things were wrong when I pulled over. It just didn't start the next day.

Did they do a cylinder leak test also? Sometimes when they do the cylinder leak test you can hear where is escapes from giving you a good idea what has gone

Was done by a reputable garage cause if there was no compression on 3 cylinders it would really struggle to even go or did you mean No3.

Burnt valves, holed pistons or head gasket?

On closer examination this turned out to be the issue. It had jumped 3 notches. Strange as the cambelt was supposed to have been changed 30000 miles ago.
