Default Sti TMIC on WRX

I've just purchased an Sti top mount to go on my blob wagon. It didn't come with the black vacuum pipes, will I be able to transfer the ones off my standard tmic to the larger Sti intercooler?

Also do I need to run an Sti under tray or is the WRX one ok?

Cheers, Ian

Is that a necessity, or will the Sti TMIC work with the standard WRX scoop and undertray?

You can use a Bug sti undertray and keep the wrx scoop, as the bug tray is not so deep. I just happen to have one for sale, as I was going to upgrade tmic, but am now selling up

make sure to bend your A/C lines out of the way, or the bigger STi TMIC will rub a hole through them in a matter of weeks.

Yeah all well thanks, 7 weeks old today! How did you get on selling all the other parts? Would've loved to have had the lot, but this child is draining my bank balance! 😄

Sounds good! Will sort out payment today ðŸ‘

Hi yeah I saw that in a fitting guide, is it an easy bend by hand, or do you need pipe benders? Also I heard about a clip to attach the aircon pipe to the bulkhead, is this needed? Thanks, Ian

You can re-use your own, they're the same.

Also bug STI undertray goes straight under a Blob WRX scoop, I've got the same set up on mine.

Anyone else thinking of the STi top mount on their WRX? - I have all you need.

All fitted now! Anyone else have the issue of the larger TMIC rubbing the vacuum pipe out of the actuator?

you can spin the actuator round if that helps you, just give it a gentle tickle with a screwdriver/hammer and you'll have tons of room.
