Default Boost cut after getting wet

After the car has sat for a few days in the heavy rain and letting the car warm up for a good 15 mins if I go to put my foot down hard it seems to hit boost cut (even at low boost, say 0.7 bar)

I've got the rain covers under the bonnet so I don't think the air filter / maf is getting wet.

Would the leads be a symptom of this if they were slightly cracked and letting in moisture?

Is there anything else I should be looking at?
