02 wrx pinging at high revs

Hey guys i have a 02 wrx stock appart from a 3inch turbo back exhaust not tuned for it yet ive noticed lately its started to ping at 6000rpm need some help or ideas on what it could be thanks guys

This might be a clue to your problem.

Keep your right foot off the gas until you have the map checked.

As above, drive Miss Daisy until it's been mapped...and hope you haven't done any damage already
