Impreza gl won't start
Hi all, I have acquired an impreza gl, 1994, it turns over but won't fire up. I was told it was 'a quick fix'!
Is there some kind of checklist I can do to find the problem?
Oh and I've never worked on an engine so be gentle!
Thanks guys.

You should be able to hear it from inside the cabin, buzzing noise, you will hear it better if you open the boot/trunk and stick your head in there while someone switches the ignition on.
Sound like you car has no spark or no fuel,so we will start with the easy stuff.
If fuel pump isn't priming(buzzing) then could be the connecting block under the rear bench seat, connecting block on the fuel pump(located under a hatch in the boot) or broken fuel pump.
Has the car got an immobiliser/alarm fitted?
I will also say the site has a really good search function that will help you out as this kind of thing has been covered many times

No probs mate, wasn't having a dig, just the search function can give you much inspiration and many ideas to all and every problem with these cars.
Hope you get it sorted
Also worth checking the fuses(not visually as you can't see the break sometimes) use a simple multi meter to check continuity.
