Default P1 brembos?

hi, I have a p1 which is going for an engine rebuild and I don't know what spec to do it yet. Possibly a 2.1 with a bit of further scope for more horses but I don't know yet.
Also looking at a 6 speed conversion to cope with more power.
What I'm trying to figure out is a brake conversion to brembos. I know if I do the 6 speed thing I Can deal for rear brakes when I'm at it.
As for the front, can anyone tell me will brembos fit under the standard p1 17 in rims?
I have a very nice set of 18 oz's(superleggera ithink) with almost new toyos. but I might sell them to help fund the build.
Also, all the standard brakes are new with grooved discs and pads all round. Are these worth selling?

I would look into ap's and keep the original 17s. Thats what i have on my p1. Brembos will not fit under most 17s. You should be able to get enough money to buy a second hand ap brake kit by selling your current brake set up and your 18" wheels.

Thanks. I'm guessing they would be hard to come by as everybody wants them?
Is there any point in selling my 5 speed box set up?
Is it worth anything?
Standard shocks and springs?

This is a good spec kit that will fit under your wheels , brand new monoblock one piece Brembo 4 pot calipers , 330mm x 28mm 2 piece discs and bells , alloy brackets , and a choice of pad for £999.

http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/impr...and-bells.html

We were doing a similar kit with AP 6 pots for £1250 but they have gone now , we can offer a kit using the new 9040 AP 6 pot calipers for £1595

Cheers Ian

Sounds good at that sort of money. At the minute I'll just have to wait and see what's in store for the engine build before idoanything else

I'd be very keen on that. Looks like a nice bit of kit.
What would you use at the rear if I keep the 5 speed and kept power below 350hp

Yes it was , but we managed to find 9 pairs of calipers in a bankrupt stock sale at a very good price which was why the kits were so cheap , they were all snapped up very quickly
