Rough running, hesitation only when stone cold.
Hello guys theres a little bug in my system im trying to work out... I have a my 00 impreza uk turbo 2000 ppp pretty much stock everywhere else, runs spot on, boosts fine, cruises fine, idles fine. But when you first start it for literally the first mile or two it will stumble and hesitate sometimes. Id describe it like if the choke wasnt working properly on one of my old carb fords etc. the problem is gone by the time the car is warmed and idle has dropped to normal operating temperature. So i was wondering if theres a sensor for when its cold on choke that may cause this that i could remove or clean or if there is amything you guys think could cause it as i havent really a clue how the cold start side of things work on these as never had a problem like this before and it still runs absolutely perfect after the first few minutes. And obviously if you re start and drive and the car is still warm it still doensnt happen its litterally only when started from stone cold. Any help would be great to get rid of this little gremlin. Thanks

This is no help but I used to have this exact same problem years ago on my standard 99MY. I drove a kart the other week where they have those juddery electronic limiters to slow everyone down when someone's had a spin - reminded me of the Impreza !
Subaru dealer couldn't find anything obviously wrong at the time and I learnt to put up with it. The sensor idea sounds a sensible idea if its not expensive.
