Default Oil pressure sensor

Have bought the kit to extend the oil pressure sensor housing, trouble i've got is the sensor that come with the 4 in 1 gauge seems to long to screw into the housing, the oe one screws into the end but the additional one goes in the side but i can tell it will bottom out before you tighten it. Have searched for a shorter sensor but no joy can someone point me in the right direction please to source one. Went to my local hose fitting specialist to get and adapter of some description but no joy with out drilling out one end of a bspt fitting to screw back into the npt threads.

My sensor feels way to loose in the thread when finger tight? pretty sure the bottom of the sensor is hitting before it goes tight?

I used that kit and had no problems. You do have to wrap a fair bit of PTFE on to the threads to make fitment tight

It's only 100 psi, not much for an NPT fitting (seen them at 10,000 psi) shouldn't be too much of an issue

Did you use the same type of sender as in my pic? it's got a tapered thread and quite a loose fit, surely its not suppose to go right inside the chamber to the bottom? this is severely restricting the oil flow to the end where the o.e sender fits?

What a complete f**cking numpty i am!! just read the instructions again and checked the diagram that came with the 4in1 gauge, i've been trying to fit the water temp sender instead of the oil pressure sender which is completely different and fits perfectly!! (note to self read twice fit once) thanks for the input guys, sorted now!!
