Default Secondary air pump failure

Hi all

My mum has a Hawkeye WRX that has got a secondary air pump failure. It was advised by ACE motorsports who looked at the fault last week that they purchase blanking plates and get the car remapped.

Can the standard ECU be remapped?

Thanks

Yeah the secondary air system can be removed but doesn't need remapped for it, just the codes removed which anybody with access to opensource can do for you.

I got the blanking plates of US ebay delivered to door for 30. then got whole system removed & plates fitted for 60 (or 3 hrs labour @ mates rates), then a mate removed the codes of the ecu for me

But yeah you can get the std ecu remapped if your mum wants it

As above if ure prepared to spend the money at a garage u will be looking approx £250 for open source mapping, £30-60 for blanking plates depending on where u get them, 3hrs labour at roughly £45ish per hour plus vat

Or u can buy the pump and valves ie complete kit used for 100ish quid on ebay or on forums etc, if u dont have the cash to get it done just now
