Hawkeye won't Rev ?
I'm working on a friends 2008 2.5 and I'm struggling to figure out the likely cause.
The car starts and idles fine but when you go to rev it (in neutral) it starts to miss at around 3k rpm and won't rev past 3250-3500rpm
I've put a new fuel filter in, tried another fuel pump but still the same. I haven't got anything here to test fuel pressure.
There is no popping/banging when it is missing, it does sound like fuel starvation but not sure.
I can't see it being the spark plugs at that rpm/load.
Will the coilpacks throw cel on this model?
Any ideas chaps?

When you say ( your working ) was it fine before / & what have you been doin to it?
Could be a wide spectrum of things
From slipped timing to a blocked cat
From 02 to maf
From fuel to spark Impossible to diagnose on a forum ( if you don't know what your doin , tell your m8 to give it to someone who does
That's not a dig at you mind , just saying.
