Default wheel bearings

Have now ordered and received 2 new wheel bearing from separate companies, one using make and model, other using red number. Both are smaller than the one taken off the car :/ car is 2004 sti prodrive. Would there be any reason the hubs have been changed for larger ones in its past life???

As far as I know yes. WRX have R160 hubs vs STI R180 hubs.

I'm assuming this is for the rear of the car? STI has a 72mm outer diameter bearing, WRX I think is 65mm.
