P0031 and AVCS Fault codes
Hello,
I'm currently chasing faults on my 06 Blobeye which are fault codes P0031, P1307 and P1309.
I've checked the resistance of the heater elements on the front lambda sensor and everything seems fine. The car still runs normally (not in limp mode) but logging it, it shows its in open loop mode, as the A/F shows as 14.7 all the time without any fluctuation.
All connections to the OCV's look alright too.
I've ordered a new lambda sensor anyway as I don't know the age of the one that is fitted
Any ideas?
Thanks

P1307 OCV Solenoid Valve Signal 1 Circuit Malfunction (Short)
P1309 OCV Solenoid Valve Signal 2 Circuit Malfunction (Short)
If they are shorted then they are almost certainly dead valves.
try unplugging them and starting the car and see if the fault code changed to open circuit, If it does then you have 2 faulty valves.
as for the heater sensor circuit I'd change the afr sensor pre up pipe for a genuine one, Aftermarket ones tend to throw allsorts of codes

Thanks,
Funnily enough I have fixed all 3 error codes today, I sorted out what looked like a poor earth connection to the gearbox, and generally cleaned up the rest of the earthing points. That cleared P1307 and P1309, and P0031 was indeed the AFR sensor, it was a genuine denso that was fitted, now replaced and working just fine.
