Default Blob widetrack heavy steering/suspension query?

My 2005 widetrack blobeye has really heavy steering almost as if the tryes are flat and you can feel it when turning the wheel. I have checked the p/steering fluid thats topped up to where it should be?

Also I get some clonks and knocks too when pulling away/going over bumps so I guess the suspension needs attention. Do these have top mounts or do I upgrade the suspension to coilovers?

Hi there

Is yours car lowered or do yours car have coilovers ?

I would check if belts are OK,check if yours droplinks are OK,bushes etc, there is lots which you can check if everything is OK

I would have check if yours tyres have correct pressure, depends if they're 17" or 18",what tyres and wheels are you running ?

Thanks,Jura

Hi, and thanks for your reply.

I am running standard setup no coilovers. Wheels are 18" Genuine PFF7's fitted with goodyear eagle f1s 235/40/R18. Tyre pressures I always use 32/33psi.

So really I need to get to a specialist to get the car checked over.

Hi there

Personally I would have car checked by specialist

This can be something simple like bushes, which is cheap to replace or can be the droplink which can be cheap and easy to replace too

Then if you are have knocking from shock, then I would suspect this can be shock

But I would incline this can be the bushes, droplink or ARB

Hope this helps and good luck

Thanks,Jura
