Hay guy not sure if my engines been swapped so looking to find out what's in it I have the engine code off the block by the bell housing is there anywhere I can find out what it is from this number.

 

You can check the number against the one on the logbook or is the white barcode sticker still on the center timing cover,to the left of the front pulley ?

I'll check if the bar code is still on the cover 2 morrow and report back

 

So been in contact with Subaru uk over Facebook and they where more than helpful they checked reg against chassis number and against engine number.

So seems I have a engine swap and its not from a UK car is there anyway to check against imports have seen 205 on the block so its a long shot but really hopeing its got a closed deck block are there any way of telling this without taking apart

 

Closed deck block can be identified by the cross hatching on :
Above the modine.
Below the oil pressure switch.
On the block oil feed for the Right hand cylinder head ( drivers side ).
Half moon hatching on bell housing adjacent to starter motor.
