Default Exhaust Question

I have a Bugeye PPP, Im looking at getting some exhaust work and getting it remaped.

I recently got the uppipe replaced for a harvey trick catless pipe.

The car has a straight middle piece with what I presume is a heat shield on it and the prodrive back box. Why does the heat shield stay on the centre pipe if the cat has been removed?

So I presume the car has a standard wrx cat on the downpipe or is it 2 cats on down pipe?

Im looking to either get a straight catless down pipe or a second hand used sports cat/sti downpipe. And then get it remapped by andy forrest.

Just unable to get under the car and not too clued up on these things.

I see a few used sti sport cats on ebay, but Im guessing a need another catless pipe to add to these to then allow it to join the centre pipe.

Trying to keep cost down and a new sports cat downpipe is around £300 alone.

Also what kind of centre pipe is used in the prodive package? 2.5 res or de resonated?

Im a bit confused on what I actually need

The car had a ton of history but no receipts were there for any exhaust work/replacement. So I think its wrx PPP as standard

I'm abit confused with all the qustions and what your asking.

Normally you should have 2 cats, one on the down pipe and one in the center pipe.

Most people remove one of the cats and keep the other, i'd think about getting a sports cat as they are less restrictive. You can get 100 cell or 200cell, 100 cell is more free flowing but harder to pass mot, i need to take mine on a good drive before gets moted to pass

Heat shield around the cat will be to protect it and to help keep it warm, as cats don't work till there warmed up

I want to know from the turbo - backbox what parts are on a PPP wrx bugeye.

What am I looking for if I buy second hand parts to put on it, like sti sports cat

This one has a second pipe attached to it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3015841962...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

This one is just the cat http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1915522685...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

The one with extra pipe is what i need to go from turbo down to the centre pipe on a bugeye wrx ppp?

I wan to get the car remapped next month so trying to figure out best option for what parts, as I figure I still have a standard wrx cat on my downpipe right now

Should I go and try source a straight through centre pipe that doesm't have the resonator I have now also?

Here is under the car, what is the box at the front in the last picture, is it a heatshield or a resonator or the housing for where a cat use to be?

What parts should I be looking to get before the map is done

Last pic is cat heat shield, not 100 percent on wrx PPP but wrx has 3 cats one in up pipe, 2 in down pipe, resonator in centre pipe then back box.
