Default Clarification on which block..

Hi all, just looking for clarification on what block is in R reg'd Impreza STI's (from OEM)? I seem to remember it's a CDB but just wanted to double check.

Looking at doing a project build and ideally want a CDB as a starting point.

Thanks all

Hit and miss i think, Check for hatchings on block near the oil pump which most CDB`s have.

Any details on the Vin plate or is the block the only place to find out?

MY97 started 8-96 I believe so anything after that techincally should have an open deck block, unless its been changed somewhere in its life.

No worries, will see if I can get the owner to find out by looking at the casing.
