Default Wiring aftermarket fans

Hi everyone.

I'm diving in head first this weekend and fitting my new japspeed aluminium radiator and aluminium fan shroud with new blue silicone hoses.

I have noted that there is a discrepancy with the wiring whereby the existing fans have 3 wires and the new ones only have 2.

After a Google search I sm struggling to find a solution to wiring these up when installing.

Can anyone advise on the correct work-around for this issue?

Thanks

This for a classic? Which year? Does it have A/C?

If so, two of the three wires are for speed control by the look of the wiring diagrams.

Without A/C:

You could use either of the two "live" wires in the case of not having A/C from the factory.

The car is a 98 Terzo and currently has non-functioning A/C which I was planning to remove.

The fans appear to only have one positive and one negative wire.

Right guys, here is the plan.... after reading plenty and talking to an auto electrician, I am going to cut the old 3 pin connectors off the oem fans, connect the black wires together (Earth) then join the two original positive connections together and splice with the single positive on the new fans.

Apparently that should be it....... Plug the fans back in off you go.

For anyone who is interested I will update later this weekend with results and pics.

Thanks for your help.
