Hi guys, as the title says, when I picked up my 98 Terzo, the vac pipes had been swapped for modern blue silicone hoses and the restrictor pill was missing. As such, the car would not boost past 0.5 bar.

Any way I managed to get hold of a 1mm prodrive pill which I installed this afternoon.

I took her out for a run and the first time I pushed her she went like a rocket then cut out like hitting a brick wall

After a few more runs, albeit not pushing her too hard, it happened again.

MY98 Terzo
TD04 turbo
2 port solenoid
Decat downpipe and blitz nur spec straight through
Apexi Induction kit

Can anyone advise on a fix or is this something that will be corrected when mapped?

I think you should have a 1.2mm pill as standard, 1mm will create too much boost. You might be able to correct it through mapping but for now get a 1.2mm pill in there to prevent any damage.

Oh and you'll need ESL to remap your ECU, it'll be an 8S like mine if it's still standard.

or after market ecu like, link or syvecs or alcatek which can fit the terzo

did run a link g1 in my terzo which made 1.35 bar on vf28 mapped by andyf

+1 - with the decat downpipe and no map your going to want at least a 1.2mm pill - maybe larger again just to squash any overboost you might see. Best thing to do is get mapped though as it will transform the car.
