Default bug eye coolant temp sensor

hi can anyone help me with coolant temp sensor on wrx bug eye 2002 impreza? does anyone have a pic of location?

ive ran engine and fans wont commit, engine is HOT, new rad, new thermo, correct levels of coolant etc so just another thing to eliminate....

You did reconnect the fans after replacing the rad ??

Pic below shows location of coolant temp sensor.

yes i did and once system was burped and was running the fans commited but since then ive done 20min drive and let sit idle for 5 mins and no fans, fuse is ok so thought would be temp sensor....

5 minutes idling I wouldn't expect to have the fans on. My fan barely ever comes on. If you're monitoring temps expect the fans to come around 96 degrees.

If you connect the green test connectors together under the dash do the fans cycle on and off ?
