Default Panel air filter question

Hi all,

Bought a K&N panel filter from Scoobyworld last week but on trying to fit it yesterday have come up against a problem. The filter is the correct length and width but seems too thick so that you can't get the air box lid on. Anybody else had similar problems?

Don't take this the wrong way but are you fitting it back in upside down first??? They also can become unseated when trying to secure the top of the airbox back on as well which maybe happening too?? I have a K&N panel on my classic and fitted fine.

Default panel airfilter

Update- took airbox assembly out this afternoon. With two of us and the airfilter on the bench managed to get it to close! Boy its tight! Have found though that one of my airbox lid clips is missing so it won't stay closed properly.
If anyone has a clip I can buy off them please pm me

Ta
