Default 2003 WRX Dyno result

I've got an exhaust, k&n and walboro fuel pump. It made 161.3kw atw today. It hit 17.5pnd then died of to around 13pnd higher in the rev range. I'm going to get an e boost to counter the drop. Any recommendations for value for money brands.

yup - less boost the higher you go to keep the turbo in the efficiency range. You don't need a eboost/truboost/bleedvalve/megaboost 5000 optical pressure controller #1 china supplier with 80000 footpounds of torque.

Just get it mapped for the mods and you'll have the best out of it, there's pleanty of tech on board the car already it just needs a wizard with a laptop to release it.

Yeah it did get tuned by a reputable workshop. I've tried to work out the figures. If I'm correct it's making close to 218kw at the fly wheel which is a 50kw power gain over standard.

Speak English! ******* foreigners are everywhere.

We use BHP here in the UK, you know like your Mustangs we're interested in how many ponies are under the bonnet, or as you call it the hood, but again over here that words used for a pussies bonnet.

The only education problem around here is related to the fact that your prison based education system didn't teach you to speak the Queens English, obviously had some Yank teachers as the only brits that went to OZ were un-educated low life criminals forced to do so at the behest of Her Majesty.

Maths is not my strong point, so yeah Mr Kiwi do the math before posting.

Ahahaha 😉. It's around 292hp at the flywheel. To be honest your majesty should have left the crooks in England and moved here.

lol, leave the poor bloke alone you bunch of trolls. lol

simply put thats normal, smaller turbos struggle to hold the boost level up the rev range. Electronic boost controller will make no difference. save your money for other mods

Sounds good. Will save my money for a bigger turbo and intercooler. 😉

do you have a dyno graph of the professional tune? I've recall a guy that had his car pro mapped at 219kw - but it had nothing in the midrange so it was basically tuned as a dyno queen using a unichip piggyback.

Once back on the stock ECU and mapped the midrange torque was vastly improved as well as a little bump in the top end power.

If you can find a big intercooler you should be able to run your turbo at 17psi for a good bit longer than you do now and still make decent power from it. The top end will be pretty much the same as the turbo is just out of puff but you'll have plenty of torque to go around.

Don't forget if you go for bigger turbo you'll need bigger injectors as well.

Almost forgot about injectors. 😃

Yes I have the Dyno graph. I can't upload it as I'm only using my iPhone. I can email it if someone wants to put it up. It's got a lot more midrange now since the standard computer got flash tuned.

Doesn't look too bad - about 260ish horsepower at the flywheel or thereabouts so similar in spec to a UK PPP car. There is more potential there but would depend on your fuel quality and intercooler setup to let the mapper get the best out of it.

Cheers guys. Going to go a VF34 turbo big process west top Mount intercooler and bigger injectors later on. Fuel quality is good if I stick to BP 98.

sound - the process west is a good job, just make sure the deflector under the scoop is moddded to fit the big bugger!

If your picking up a VF turbo - see if you can get it ported beforehand, might save it having to come off again later on.
