Unhappy Good scooby specialist for engines

Hi all,
first post and a big ask - my Scooby has celebrated my birthday by misfiring badly on cylinder 2.
A good friend has run some tests and after the usual plug change and coil swap the issue is definitely in the cylinder.
More tests and we are losing compression big time!
This, along with a rattle and some sparks from the exhaust - am I looking at the piston ring?
I really want to breathe live back into the car so is taking the engine apart to get to this something that can be tackled by amateur or does anyone have any recommendations to local Scooby specialists to the Herts/Essex border please.
All help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers, ScoobyGeezer

Have you tried RS_Matts wife? She's supposed to be **** hot, far better than any of the so called 'specialists'.

Exclamation test info

hi guys,
ive got some more info back from the tests I have done,

as stated plugs were changed however this made no difference

car was the put on to a emissions tester and to the surprise of the mechanic came back absolutely fine, burning fuel how it should (which we thought was very strange considering obd says cyclinder 2 misfire,

then done a compression test on the cylinder which showed a 80% compression loss </3

we then placed a camera down the head which revealed the valves and piston to look fine, can still see the howning marks on the barrel,

hoe this helps guys with suggesting the problem guys, any ideas or surgestions are welcome

Do a cylinder leakdown test, that will tell you if its valves or piston.
