Default clutch

My blobeye has an exedy paddle clutch, it was fitted about 18k miles ago, the clutch bites at the top and I have to raise the revs slightly to pull away or the car judders, should this happen? The car has always been like it since I bought it a month ago.

If it's a paddle clutch it will always be a b8stard.

Might be worth taking to a local specialist as they can be adjusted.

Any ideas what sort of power you're running?

The pink organic exeedy clutches are capable of handling 400 ftlbs of torque. Can't really understand why someone's put a paddle clutch on your car.

It may be on its way out.

Have a look on the trader section here for the best prices from bob@aztec and Alyn as performance.

I'm not sure if it is the clutch you just mentioned. I have the receipt for it and it was fitted when the car had done 75k and it's done 90k now. The clutch isn't slipping it's just right at the top, I hardly have to push the pedal and I can change gear. Hope it not f-ked, in July I had a standard clutch fitted to my bugeye and that was nearly £700, can't be forking money out like that again.

Paddle clutches are either on or off.

As for your other comment about price. This forum is great for realistic prices and genuine traders. You'll be looking at a lot less than that for a new fitted clutch.

I'm in Bedfordshire, where is fb tuning based? Any contact details? I could do with a Scooby expert near me, I,ve had 3 Scooby's now and locally to me not many mechanics know there way around a Scooby engine or the mods the engine can accommodate.

Another question, I have a front mounted intercooler and I'm sure I have a recirculating valve on it, would putting a dump valve on be the wrong thing to do?

As Mark says, a paddle clutch isn't ideal for your application.

Lots of options available that are nice to drive and are reliable.

Feel free to call or message. As you're local can recommend someone to fit.
